Shooting 3 weddings in one weekend is quite an experience. As a photographer I try to look for the unique aspects of a situation and even though all weddings have a similar timeline and series of events I really enjoy looking for that special moment in each one. It is not only my job to find it, but a challange that I really enjoy.
As Joe Biussink said in one of the seminars… “it is not about the perfect picture… it is about the perfect moment”
Here are some photos from last weeked ……
Raffaele and Angela had their party at the beautiful Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, NJ. I’ve shot there a few times in the past and I just love how endless the possibilities are there:
Saturday was Ally and Mike’s turn. They were such fun to photograph.
I met them at the W hotel on 39th and Lex where they were both getting ready.
While my friend Rachel was shooting some photos of Mike and the boys, I was playing with Ally’s shoes and hanging out with the girls.
On the way to Central Park where we were going to take some photos of the family and bridal party I spotted a wall out of nowhere and I asked Ally and Mike if they wanted to jump out of the car for a couple of minutes… they were game…
We ended our night at Gustavino’s. It was my first time shooting in that space (beautiful place). I lived in Queens for many years and used to drive on the 59h steet bridge almost every day and never realized that there was a restaurant right under the bridge!!!
Last stop for the weekend was at the Yale Club of New York for Emily and Jonathan’s wedding. We stayed in the building for the day and found some corners to photograph. Big library windows!!
