New York Wedding Photography can be different.  Here is an excerpt from the article “Wedding Wows” published in the New York Post today:

New York Wedding Photographer

Underwater couple taken by New York Wedding Photographer, Roberto Falck

“When friends arrive for dinner at the home of Manhattan telecommunications manager Nicole D’Antuono-Hussain and her husband, Bill, they’re never stuck for conversation.

The huge canvas on the wall — a surreal photo of the couple embracing underwater in their wedding attire — is a guaranteed talking point.

“I always smile when I see it,” says D’Antuono-Hussain, who posed for the portrait in a swimming pool despite being terrified about holding her breath for up to 15 seconds underwater. (She doesn’t swim.) “I remember all the nervous feelings going into it. I’ll never do it again, but it’s great to have.”

Like a growing number of style-conscious newlyweds, she jumped on a new trend in wedding photography — the heavily produced, art-directed photo shoot that would easily fit into the pages of Vogue. ”

PRESS RELEASE

Underwater Portraits by New York Wedding Photographer, Roberto Falck, Featured by The NY Post on Trendsetting Work.

February 11, 2013 New York, NEW YORK- Last week, The New York Post observed a new trend in wedding photography. Foregoing the standard poses that have dominated wedding albums for decades, modern brides and grooms are opting for carefully crafted scenes with a refined sense of artistic design to document their wedding day. This is indicative of a larger movement in photography, and one that is likely to continue to grow in 2013.

In the January 31st article on the topic of evolving New York wedding photography, the New York Post cited the work of New York wedding photographer, Roberto Falck who worked with New York Wedding and Children’s Photographer Rachel Elkind to create once in a lifetime images.   The piece created for Manhattan couple Nicole and Bill Hussain, depicted the couple in a dreamy, underwater embrace and is cited as indicative of these contemporary developments in New York wedding photography.

The couple expresses their sentiments on this timeless, one-of-a-kind portrait. “I always smile when I see it…It’s great to have,” states bride Nicole D’Antuono-Hussain.

With the growing amount of clients looking to create something unique to document their celebrations, finding an experienced New York wedding photographer becomes more important than ever. Many couples, choosing ambitious themes and entrusting their photographs to novices, end up disappointed–unable to recreate the moment, and left with sub-par portraits.

New York Wedding Photographers Roberto Falck and Rachel Elkind are experienced in creating unique imagery as seen in their other artistic underwater photography of expectant mothers, artists, and professional dancers.  These subjects often draped in flowing fabrics, float weightlessly beneath the surface of the water. These images of imagination and surrealism are indicative of the larger artistic trend in portraiture.

Named as one of the Top 5 Trends of 2012 by trend forecasting agency, FranklinTill, this “New Romanticism” is an emerging theme in portrait photography. This aesthetic evolution is further illustrated by the emergence of heavily stylized images in social media, through services like Instagram.

The trend indicates a desire of consumers to view the world around them differently, to capture the important moments in their lives in a unique, artistic way and to tell a unique story about themselves. This would seem only natural, as the maturing population of “Generation Me” experiences milestone moments in their lives and seeks to document those moments in their own voices.

Expressing the creative vision of their clients is an important part of New York Wedding photographers Roberto Falck and Rachel Elkind. Consultations begin with a detailed discussion of the client’s expectations and vision. During sessions, the relationship between client and the environment is emphasized and maximized.  Locations and backdrops for New York Wedding Photography include The Brooklyn Bridge, Grand Central Station, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Central Park, The Plaza Hotel, and The Meatpacking District  amongst just a few. The result is an organic work of art, history, emotion and personal connection.

The boutique studio’s Wedding and Portrait photographers have a combined 15 years of experience, and offer not only artist portraits but a unique and memorable experience.
