How long will the Photographer be present to photograph?
Typically, I will arrive 1
hour prior to the bride leaving for the ceremony to photograph the wedding
preparation. This is a great way to begin the story of your day. Within
reason, I will photograph the day's events usually until the end of the party.
This amounts to about 8-10 hours of photographic coverage.
How many
pictures does the Photographer take?
This depends on the size of
the wedding. On average, I shoot 1000 - 1500 exposures.
As each wedding is uniquely different from the next, I will photograph as much as I feel necessary
to capture the great moments of your day.

Black & White or Color?
You will get ALL the photographs in both Color and Black & White. I achieve this by taking
all the photos in digital. This works even better than regular film because some images look
better in color and others look better in Black & White.

Group Shots / Formal Shots?
The amount of time and schedule
of these shots will be discussed with you prior to the wedding. I suggest to allocate at least 1 hour for
these photos.It is
advisable to allocate a special time and location for these pictures to
minimize interruptions to your wedding. It is important to coordiante
this beforehand to ensure that your preferred guests and family members
will be present during the photographing of the Group Pictures.

What is a Self-Portrait Studio?
This is a self functioning
mini studio set-up with lighting and backdrop (where appropriate). In
the absence of a photographer, your guests will be able to pose and take
their own pictures using a remote control shutter, encouraging less inhibited
poses and offers added fun to the wedding party. See details and samples here

Does the Photographer bring an Assistant?
Yes. I always work with an assistant that also doubles up as a second shooter.
This is particularly useful when we want to tell the story from the beginning of the day from both (bride and groom) sides.
By bringing an assistant, it also allows me
to bring extra equipment (such as lighting, studio set up...etc.)
and ensure that I can cover the extensive array of events throughout the
day as well.
What are
the on-site requirements for the Photographer?
Due to the long working day
(12+ hours easy including travel time), it is necessary for a hot meal
to be provided for the Photographer and assistant. Arrangements
should be made with the catering staff in advance to avoid confusion during
the wedding banquet. This should be timed with the guests' meal so that
no photo opportunities will be missed while the Photographer eats for
15 mintues.
Does the Photographer travel?
Yes. I have frequently been
commissioned to photograph weddings on the east coast ranging from Washington DC to Boston and abroad (Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Tomas).
It is the responsibility of the client/couple to cover all travel related expenses such as Flight/Train tickets, lodging, car
rentals...etc for weddings outside the NYC area.

Is digital imaging better than film?
High-resolution digital imaging is considerably more flexible than traditional film. With digital images I can easily correct for exposure fluctuations, image imperfections and add a variety of special effects that allows me to make each individual image a work of art. Additionally, I can keep your investment low because there are no costs associated with traditional film and processing.
What will my digital prints look like?
Your enlargements will be printed on Kodak or Fuji paper using the same
chemical process that is used to print pictures from film. Your pictures will look
exactly the same as if they were shot with film. Actually, they will look better than
film because I will digitally enhance each image prior to printing.
What does “digitally enhance” mean?
Each image will be adjusted for optimal brightness, contrast, color balance, saturation and sharpness. Additionally, I may add a variety of digital filters to the image to bring out the story each individual image has to express.
Who owns the digital images?
I believe that images whether on film or digital are the property of the customer.
Therefore, I will provide you with all images and proofs on DVD. You own the images; there will be no copying,
printing or distribution restrictions, no hidden watermarks or hassles.
How does the website access work?
I will post your proofs to my website when they are ready (see sample website). You, your family and friends will be able to view the pictures from your event.
Can my family and friends order prints?
Absolutely. Anyone can order prints through the online gallery. Prints will be shipped directly to the person who ordered them.
Orders are shipped within five (5) business days.
When will we receive the proof album?
You will receive proof albums and DVD's at the same time of delivery of main album. This is typically 6-8 weeks after ordering album.
Can we order a formal album or parent albums?
Yes. We can design and print parent albums at any time. I advise to make parent albums clones of the main album you are getting.
It is easier, faster, and cheaper.
What style do you shoot?
I shoot using a variety of photographic styles. 90% of the day will be approached in a documentary style.
Traditional photos for family portraits are more posed and formal
whereas photojournalistic photos are more candid.
I also enjoy creating editorial style portraits which are very infomral but elegant looking.
I find that a combination of each style is best to truly
capture the story of your special day.
What type of equipment will be used?
I shoot using professional digital single lens reflex (SLR) cameras and lenses from Canon a
leading manufacturer of photographic equipment. I bring a full supply of backup equipment to every engagement. |
How do you archive the photos?
I archive all my work in multiple places. I have several hard drives where I duplicate all my archive.
In addition to this I burn DVD's of all my work.
In the case that you miss place your photos you can contact me and I will burn you a new set of DVD's.
