FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you travel?

Yes. We have frequently been commissioned to photograph weddings on the east coast ranging from Washington DC to Vermont and abroad (Mexico, France,Trinidad and Tobago, St. Tomas).  It is the responsibility of the client/couple to cover all travel related expenses such as Flight/Train tickets, lodging, car rentals...etc for weddings outside the NYC area.

How long will you be present to photograph?

Wedding coverage includes getting ready at bride and groom, location portraits, ceremony, cocktail hour and 3hrs. into the

reception. This amounts to about 8-10 hours of photographic coverage depending on how we organize the day.

Do you bring an Assistant?

Yes. We always work with an assistant that also doubles up as a second photographer.  This is particularly useful when we want to tell the story from the beginning of the day from both (bride and groom) sides. By bringing an assistant, it also allows us to bring extra equipment (such as lighting, studio set up...etc.) and ensure that we can cover the extensive array of events throughout the day as well.

Do you design Wedding Albums?

our photographs transcend into an object of fine art. With art books as our inspiration, our designer will create a unique and beautiful book to stand as a memento of the start of your new life together. All of our books are cutom made.  View some of the designs we have created over the years here.

Our studio team will help you through the design process, so that your memories and the story of your day are preserved into a

timeless expression of your love, celebration and family. Our signature hand made art books become a treasure that allow your moments to be shared forever.

How many pictures do you take?

This depends on the size of the wedding. On average, you will receive 800 - 1000 photos.

As each wedding is uniquely different from the next, we will photograph as much as we feel necessary to capture the great moments of your day.

Group Shots / Formal Shots?

The amount of time and schedule of these shots will be discussed with you prior to the wedding.  We suggest to allocate at least 1 hour for these photos. It is advisable to allocate a special time and location for these pictures to minimize interruptions to your wedding.  It is important to coordiante this beforehand to ensure that your preferred guests and family members will be

present during the photographing of the Group Pictures.

What is a Self-Portrait Studio/Photo booth?

This is a self functioning mini studio set-up with lighting and backdrop (where appropriate). Your guests will be able to pose and take their own pictures using a remote control shutter, encouraging less inhibited poses and offers added fun to the wedding party.

What are the on-site requirements for the Photographer?

Due to the long working day (12+ hours easy including travel time), it is necessary for a hot meal to be provided for the Photographer and assistant.

Arrangements should be made with the catering staff in advance to avoid confusion during the wedding banquet.

This should be timed with the guests' meal so that no photo opportunities will be missed while the Photographer eats for 15 mintues.

Can my family and friends order prints?

Absolutely. Anyone can order prints through the online gallery. Prints will be shipped directly to the person who ordered them. Orders are shipped within five (5) business days.

What type of equipment will be used?

We shoot using professional digital single lens reflex (SLR) cameras and lenses from Canon a leading manufacturer of photographic equipment.  We bring a full supply of backup equipment to every engagement.

NEW YORK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Are you getting married in New York? Who will be your New York wedding photographer?

Here is a list of some of the things you should consider when looking for a New York wedding photographer.

//1 Personality

When selecting a New York wedding photographer  you are selecting more than just a photographer for your wedding day. You are hiring a wedding photographer that will be with you, your family and your group all day on your wedding day. Personality is a huge part of the selection process and should not be overlooked or discounted in any way.  Your New York wedding photographer’s personality can set the tone for your entire wedding day and your bridal party. Ultimately it can impact your wedding photography altogether. You will more than likely be working with your wedding photographer for a year, or longer in some cases, by the time you factor in your engagement session and post wedding photography and albums.

//2 Price

While price is always a factor when selecting your New York wedding  photographer, it should not be the only thing that matters. All too often we hear horror stories from brides who made a decision for their wedding photography based purely on price. It turns out to be foolish in the end. When its all said and done, your wedding photography will be all you have to remember your wedding day.

//3 Wedding Albums

What will you do with all your images from your wedding photographer?

Most people opt to place them in a beautifully designed wedding album that your wedding photographer should provide you with. Don’t underestimate the importance of a wedding album from your wedding day.  This is your first family heirloom and your one keepsake you will have forever to remember your New York wedding.  When selecting a New York wedding photographer you should look for an album that best represents you and your new family. Wedding albums come in all shapes and sizes. Questions you should ask. Your New York wedding photographer

1) How many pages come in the wedding album?

2) How many images will be in the wedding album?

//4 Coverage

Something often overlooked when selecting a New York wedding photographer is the number of hours that will be offered during the coverage of your New York wedding. Typically you will want your wedding photographer to be with you to document all the moments of your wedding day. After all, that’s what you are hiring them for. That being said, typical coverage requirements for your wedding day should be about 8-10 hours.

Be careful here. Some New York wedding photographers offer cut-rate prices by offering you less than adequate wedding coverage for your day.  These become hidden costs and once you realize it, it’s often too late.

//5 Number of wedding photographers

How many New York wedding photographers will be at your event? Most events need at least two wedding photographers. This ensures that your wedding photographer is focused on working with your group and directing the day and allows the second wedding photographer to have coverage going on at the same time.  We find that by having two New York wedding photographers at your event, your wedding photography needs can best be met all while ensuring that nothing gets missed from your big day.
