I spent a week in the largest convention for wedding and portrait photographers in the country (WPPI ) held at the MGM Hotel in Las Vegas. There were over 14,000 attendees this year!
I have been going to this convention for the past 5 years and it is always a great experience; sometimes overwhelming because of the amount of information I learn, the great work I see and the amounts of people that attend, but it is also great fun because I get to see some of my favorite photography industry people (educators, photographers, and our favorite vendors)
One of the highlights of the convention for me are the album and print competition. It is great to sit down during the judging of the work becuase you get to hear what the judges have to say regarding the work. (Of course it is nerve wrecking when your work comes up 😉 )
It was a great year for print competition for me. 5 prints made it to the exhibition floor at n Las Vegas this year. It is an honor to be part of the group of photographers who’s work is shown. There is so much great work out there. Here are the prints I submitted:
Thanks to Jonathan Penney for the wonderful printing.
