I’ve been on vacation for a few weeks and it feels so great!
Unfortunately time plays us tricks when we are having fun and before you know it your vacation is over!!
My vacation this time consisted in visiting my parents in
So my vacation, among many things, consisted in a small project I had in mind right before coming. I wanted to show how two very different worlds can blend together and show some interesting contrasts and unity at the same time. These two worlds which are part of who I am needed to be together to create something new. The two worlds for this project are the native Ecuadorian culture, and the passion I have for the work that I do in
The idea for this project is to show how the new and modern can blend with the traditional Andean culture using a beautiful natural environment as the common link to both worlds.
I couldn’t have started this project without the help of many people. Vicky Poli and Luis Maldonado were the models who where brave enough to be out in the cold (around 5 Celsius) for hours while I played with the camera in front of them. Pable Latorre did a wonderful job with the makeup. Tules y Novias lent me a couple of dresses which was a pleasant surprise and my friends Max and Yomara helped with the production on the day of.
Here is a sneak preview of what the project looks like:
