I’ve been a bit behind on my blogging… to the point that some friends were actually thinking something happened to me!! (Shari 😉 ). All is good here in Brooklyn! Just a bit busy with a bunch of cool stuff. I’ve had a few fun shoots, a wedding, a couple of engagement sessions, a portrait session with a cool Jamaican guy and the planning of “Park Slope, gets Kreative!! ” a Halloween costume contest event I am organizing. The last wedding I shot was a couple of weeks ago at Mayfair Farms in West Orange, NJ. Mark and Anne Marie hosted a traditional Philipino wedding. It was my first Philipino wedding and was, as always, happy to learn new traditions. I learned that they invite a few friends of the family to be “sponsors” of the wedding. They are people who are close to the family and that are acknowledged as such (sort of like the brides maids and groom’s men, but for an older crowd 😉 ).
