Spring is ready for New York Wedding Photography! Beautiful day at the New York Botanical Gardens for Rebekah and Tim’s wedding.
Tim and Rebekah originally met within the first year of moving to New York City. Rebekah was Tim’s first optometrist in the U.S. Four years later, on a unexpected Tuesday, Tim called Rebekah and told her that he needed an eye exam, because he was having trouble seeing. After an hour of waiting, he finally arrived. As he sat in the exam room looking somewhat confused and oddly sweating profusely, he was looking for an actual eye chart. Side bar: actual eye charts have not been used since before 1980 unbeknownst to Tim.
The unsuspecting soon to be bride stepped out for a second, allowing Tim to quickly apply a pre-printed eye chart onto the wall before she returned. When she walked back in she saw the eye chart proposal on the wall (initially thinking it was a joke from her co-workers), turned around, and saw Tim on his knees ….
Words from Rebekah: ” When Tim and I first saw the Stone Mill, we immediately knew that that was our venue. I loved the combination of the surrounding nature and background history of the building. I have also been to other Abigail Kirsch wedding so was confident in their organization and food skills.
We wanted to have a small simple wedding with close friends and family. The Stone Mill was a perfect setting for what we were looking for. It is a quaint historical building that already had an underlying vintage New York Style theme. So we just kept with that theme by keeping everything as simple and classic as possible. Most of our guests are traveling so we really wanted to a New York theme. ”
We definitely enjoyed the overall energy, seems like everyone was non-stop dancing and cheering. It was also a beautiful day after long cold winter, first of Spring! _There was not one moment that was the best, so our favorite moment was just the one perfect day.
Guests from all around the world all said that it was the best wedding that they have ever been too. Most of our guests flew in from Texas, California, Australian, Taiwan, London, Canada and The Netherllands. They could not stop talking about how much fun they had and the overall energy of the wedding. The food was more then what they had expected and they could not stop dancing even when they had to sit down. ”
